How do you feed fish when on vacation?
I have three solutions that you can use to keep your fish full while you enjoy your vacation!
- Place your friend or neighbor on fish food duty! Forget a baby sitter, you need a fish sitter!
- Feed your fish electronically – Automatic fish food feeders.
- Food that feeds your fish – Slow release fish food.
Are vacation feeders bad for fish?
Not only will some fish refuse to eat it, but it can destroy your water quality too. Because there are so many different types of slow release fish foods available and aquarium setups, it is nearly impossible to know how a vacation feeder block will react in your tank.
Can I leave my fish when I go on vacation?
Most cold water fish will be fine for one week without food, however tropical fish usually need to be fed more often. If you ask someone else to take of your fish, make sure you leave specific instructions, to ensure they do not over feed your fish.
How long can you go without feeding fish?
